He was born May 8, 1925, in rural Delavan to Harry and Gladys Selk Goeken. He married Elsie Weishaupt on Aug. 8, 1948, in Mackinaw, Ill.
Arthur was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Art farmed in Delavan and Missouri for most of his life, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the American Soybean Association, Delavan American Legion Post 382, Delavan Masonic Lodge AF&AM; and Peoria Shrine and Consistory. He had volunteered at Pekin Hospital, made the Walk to Emmaus 15, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He was an active member of Delavan United Methodist Church.
