Margaret (Spain) Norcross Wallace (1887-1977)
Margaret Spain was the third child born to Richard and Jennie Spain. She had a sister Vera and a brother Maurice. Her father left the family when she was very young; she was raised by her mother, Grandmother Mary, and Uncle John in Frankford (Philadelphia region). On August 25, 1909 Margaret married Levi V. Norcross (who was born in New Jersey in 1887). He was a clerk. Levi and Margaret had one child, a daughter Vera. She married a second time to Harry Wallace who had three sons from a previous marriage (Harry, Jr.; Walter; and Earl). Harry was an electrician and at one time had an appliance store in either Frankford or Bridesburg. Margaret worked for him in the store. She was also at one time a hairdresser. Margaret and Harry had a wonderful marriage. Harry died in November of 1951.
