Services Held For Ruie Metz On Wednesday
Services for Ruie Myrtle Metz were held at the Carnegie Church of Christ Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 2:30 p.m. Durward Weatherford, minister of the Mt. View Church of Christ officiated.
Mrs. Metz passed away in the Carnegie Tri-County Hospital Monday, Nov. 6 at the age of 91. She was born Sept. 8, 1887 in Tennessee and was married to Earl Metz on June 20, 1906 in Kiowa County. She moved to this community in 1916 and has resided here since that time. Mrs. Metz has made her home at the Carnegie Nursing Home since 1974.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1962 and by one daughter.
Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under direction of Pitcher Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Marlow and Cecil Metz of Duncan; two daughters, Mrs. Alma Burton of Hydro and Mrs,. Velma Eisenman of Santa Anna, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
