Meaker was a World War II Navy veteran, a farmer, and a member of the Baptist Church. He had lived in the Amarillo-Panhandle area all his life.
Survivors are his wife, Billye; one son, Michael Gene, Panhandle; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Johnson, Amarillo and Mrs. Mary Lynette Chidester, Odessa; a brother, Lee Roy of Panhandle; his stepmother, Mrs. Arlene Meaker, Panhandle and nine grandchildren.

PANHANDLE (Spc) - Funeral services for Vincent Clara Meaker, 59, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First United Church with the Rev. Vernon O'Kelly, pastor, officiating.
