PANHANDLE (Spc) - Vincent Clara Meaker, 59, of Rt. 1, died at 11 a.m. Sunday at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First United Church with the Rev. Vernon O'Kelly, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at the Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Meaker was a World War II Navy veteran, a farmer, and a member of the Baptist Church. He had lived in the Amarillo-Panhandle area all his life.
Survivors are his wife, Billye; one son, Michael Gene, Panhandle; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Johnson, Amarillo and Mrs. Mary Lynette Chidester, Odessa; a brother, Lee Roy of Panhandle; his stepmother, Mrs. Arlene Meaker, Panhandle and nine grandchildren.
