Geraldine Davis Pitts

Geraldine Davis Pitts, age 92, of the Glade community, born May 4, 1922, died April 3, 2015.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Memory Chapel with graveside services to follow at 11 a.m. Monday, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Bryant will officiate.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Walter Pitts; parents, Buford Davis and Ree Ella Strickland Davis; and siblings, Vina Duck, Stella Harrison, Phronia Walters, Amza Cooley, Lila Ree Cooley, and J. B. Davis.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth R. Pitts of Tupelo; Wayne Pitts of California, Hooky (Rosie) Pitts of Laurel, and Chris (Missy) Pitts of Laurel. She leaves nine grandchildren and four great granddaughters.
Geraldine loved her family especially her four sons. She was a diligent homemaker and will be remembered for her sense of humor and also for her delicious southern cooking.
The family would like to thank Susan Brown and staff of Comfort Care Nursing Home for their constant love and attention. A special thank you to Kizzy Ducksworth for being a friend to our Granny.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Pitts, Billy Pitts, Ryan Pitts, Jimmy Hurt, David Pitts, and John Pitts.
