Columbia - A funeral service for Carlisle "C.C." Fogle, Sr., 83, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 o'clock, Friday, November 13, 2009, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, officiated by the Rev. Benjamin F. Smoak. Interment will be held at 1:30 in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Neeses, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , S.C. Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Fogle died Tuesday, November 10, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. Born December 18, 1925, in Neeses, SC, he was a son of the late Anthony Fogle and Lila Flake. Mr. Fogle served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific fleet. In 1947 he moved from Neeses to Columbia. He married Hazel W. Fogle in 1948 and in 1949 began an electrical contracting business that is still in operation today. He was very active in the Masons and the Shriners as well as many other civic organizations. Mr. Fogle is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hazel W. Fogle; daughter, Susan F. Parrott of Madison, GA; sons, Carlisle C. Fogle, Jr. of Columbia, Hugh (Tony) Fogle of Columbia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Fogle, Bobby Fogle, Tony Fogle, Bryan Fogle, Carroll Fogle; sister, Virginia F.
