Neeses - Mr. John Anthony Fogle, 95, of Neeses, passed away at his home on June 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses, with the Rev. Ken Jernigan and the Rev. Don Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Fogle cemetery. Mr. Fogle was born in Neeses, a son of the late Anthony and Lila Flake Fogle. He was the founder and owner of Carolina Fresh Farms, the Times and Democrat 2014 Person of the Year, a member of the Ruritan Club and a board member of North Greenville University. He served in the Army during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart medal. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Smith Fogle; son, John Anthony (Bonnie) Fogle III of Norway, daughter-in-law, Deborah Fogle of Neeses; brother, Bobby Fogle; grandchildren, Carol Lynn Fogle McCuen, Andy Fogle, Drew Fogle, Ross Fogle, Cole Fogle and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Steven R. Fogle, brothers, Henry Fogle, Carlisle Fogle, Carrol Fogle, Norman Fogle, Bryan Fogle and a sister, Virginia Port. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. on Sunday at the church before the funeral. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) of North is in charge of arrangements.
