ANDERSON, M.B., farmer and manufacturer of sorghum molasses, Ladoga, was born in Montogmery Co, Va Sept 2, 1822 and is the sson of Joseph and Christina (BRITT) Anderson. In 1837 they removed to Morgan Co, Indiana.
At the age of 21 our subject started in life for himself and came to Montgomery County, Indiana in 1844, marrying the same year, to Miss Salome HARSHBARGER, a native of Virginia, born 1824 and came with her parents, Jacob and Salome Harshbarger, to this county in 1831. In 1857, when sugar cane was first introduced in this part of the country, Mr. A. was among the first to engage in the manufacture of molasses.
