Funeral services for Margaret Gilcrease Robert will be at 1:30 p.m. today, Jan. 12, in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chris Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Robert died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, in a Lake Charles hospital. A native of Winnfield, she had lived in Baton Rouge since 1943. She was a graduate of LSU and a former school teacher in Caddo Parish. She was president of the Woman's Society, which later became WSCS, was a charter member of Les Liseuses Book Club and was a member of Chapter C of PEO and was a former president of the Women's Missionary Society. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and served on its Administrative Board.

Survivors include her husband, Walter B. Robert Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. John F. Robichaux of Lake Charles; one brother, John Gilcrease of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, 930 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70802, the family said.
