Mrs. George W. Gilcrease, who spent most of her lifetime in Winnfield, a resident of South Jones Street, died in a Shreveport sanitarium Friday of last week after a long illness. She had been a resident of Shreveport 15 years.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Gilcrease who was 95 years of age, were held in a Shreveport funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday, and burial was in the family plot in the Winnfield Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. P. M. Carraway, associate pastor of the First Methodist Church of Shreveport.

Mrs. Gilcrease was a member of the First Methodist Church of Shreveport, and a former member of the First Methodist Church of Winnfield. She was also a member of the Women's Wesleyan Bible Class.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter Robert and Miss Sadie Gilcrease, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Charles M. Bannerman of Shreveport; three sons, P. G. Gilcrease, Chase, O. E. Gilcrease, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and John R. Gilcrease of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Williamson, Shreveport, and Mrs. Arnold Rowe, Jonesboro; a brother, Bob Lee Rigdon, Coushatta, and seven grandchildren.
