Merle P. Runk
HANOVER - Merle P. Runk, 58, of Hanover, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday at Hanover General Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley (Bly) Runk.
The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Runk was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Manheim Township. He was the son of the late Harvey H. and Tillie (Berwager) Runk.
He was employed by Littlestown Hardware Foundry. He was a member of God Missionary Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea.
Mr. Runk also is survived by a son, Merle Eugene Zeigler of Hanover; a daughter, Deborah Breon of Moshannon; four grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Runk of Littlestown.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Alvin R. Shaffer.
