Born July 15, 1917, in Trenton, Mo., to Jesse Tennel "Jess" Schoonover and Matilda Ellen "Tilda" Failer Schoonover, she married Elmer Schoedel on Feb. 11, 1938, in East Peoria. He died Dec. 22, 1974, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Richard of Springfield and Warren of Buena Vista, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Zella) Brooks of Buena Vista; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles Schoonover of Bartonville and Loyal Schoonover of Canton; and one sister, Carrie Bohm of Farmington.
She was a former nurse's aide at the St. Francis Motherhouse in Germantown Hills. She was a member of First Baptist Church in East Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
