He had eight siblings: Newton Francis Jr., Augustus Edwin, Martha Quina, James Boyd, Leon Bernard, John McAslin, David Dewitt, and Paul Leroy. Theodore married Afolona Madsen on 5 October 1899 in Bloomington, Idaho. They had six children: Madson Hugh, Leath Jane, Naomi Ella, Monroe, Frank Exra, and David Dewitt. Theodore died in Yakima, Washington and is buried there.
