Mrs J L Sims, 66,1501 N Sycamore, died at 5:33 am at a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm at Hassell & Forest Chapel with Rev Randall Terrell officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Park.
Pallbearers will be Travis Wayne Sims,Tony Lee Sims,Bradly J Sims,Jerry Sims, Fred Harris and Donnie Harris.
Mrs Sims was born in Texas August 5 1910. Daughter of the late Oscar R Harris and Mrs Donnie Sherrod Harris.She made her home in Anderson County since 1964 and was member of the North Jackson Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Lee Sims, 2 sons, Travis Sims of Tyler and J L Sims Jr of DeQuincy La.4 brothers, M V Harris of Corsicana, O M, Arvel ,and C A Harris of Palestine, Two sisters, Mrs O L (Arnie)Morris of Corsicana and Mrs R L (Maxine) Watson of Cayuga, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
