Saluda, SC - Wilbur Hasket Long, 27, died at 11 a.m. Friday at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood of injuries received in an accident at a sawmill Thursday.
A tree Long was cutting fell and crushed him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday from the Richland Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Travis Park Cemetery here. The Rev. J. O. Passailaigue, assisted by the Rev. C. J. Rice, will officiate.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ora Rogers Long; one son, Larry Long; one daughter, Rose Long, all of Saluda; his mother, Mrs. Sara Black Long of Saluda; three brothers, Frank, John David and Marion Long, all of Saluda; four sisters, Mrs. Jenell Long Harmon, Mrs. Rena Mae Hutto, and Betty Jean and Carroll Long.
