Rena Mae Long Hutto, age 80, of Alma passed away peacefully at the Bacon County Hospital on March 29, 2018 after a short illness. She was born in Saluda, South Carolina to the late Wilber Coleman Long and Sarah Black Long. Four brothers, Frank Long, W.H. Long , John David Long and Harold Long, two sisters, Janell Harmon and Betty Coon an a cousin Marvin Lester Taylor (Ruby) preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rena was retied as the Bacon County Clerk of Superior Court, was a member of Superior Court Clerks Association, United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her three children, Andy Hutto (Dana), Eric Hutto (Anissa ) of Alma and Janet Yawn (Arthur) of Hazlehurst, one brother, Carroll Long of Ward, SC., two sisters, Marion Duffie of Saluda, SC. and Judy Long Fallaw (Roger) of Greenwood, SC., 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 3rd at 11:00 AM the Alma United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Rikard and Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Cliff Hutto, Stephen Mullis, Blake Hutto, Connor Wilkerson, Cole Yawn, Cody Thrift, Austin Allen and Ayman Alitaraweh. Honorary pallbearers will be; Retired Clerks of Court Association of Georgia and Alma United Methodist Church Ladies.
