My dear cousin, Mary Frances "Frankie" Scroggins Byrd, went home to be with her Lord and her loved ones today. She was a unique and warm hearted, loving lady. She and I spent many hours on the phone talking about our family. She is responsible for much of my information on the Scroggins line of my Family Tree. Though she and I had hoped to meet in person this year, it was not to be, and is my great loss. One of the last of my grandmother's nieces and nephews, she will be missed by so many.
She and her husband ran a business together in Wright City for many years. She was an avid bird lover and studied and cared for them. She loved to read and had a passion for collecting crystal. Frankie loved to host her family and friends, caring for all as if they were family and would "Adopt" you in a second as she did so many throughout her life.
She is reunited with her husband of many years, Wilbur "W.C." Byrd and an infant son, along with her parents and eight of her siblings. Living all her life in Wright City, Frankie is survived by one daughter, a grandson and step-grandson, and a sister. So many family members and friends will mourn her and miss her.
