He belonged to the Harrington Laurel Lodge, No 119k the F & AM and the OES.
Coped from his the Harrington Citizens Newspaper: ‘Eli E. Yarwood passed away Wednesday at Mohler as the result of an attempt at suicide, when after slashing his throat and wrist he went to the garage, started the car and lay down to breathe the exhaust fumes. He was soon discovered by Mrs. Fred Yarwood. Mr. Yarwood had been in poor health the past two years. Undoubtedly he was in despair of his physical condition.'
