Andy was born in Mertens, Texas, to the late William Jefferson Anderson and Sarah Ethel (Carroll) Anderson. He was a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ. He was also the owner of Anderson Motor Transport. Mr. Anderson was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his a son, W. L. "Rip" Anderson; four brothers; and a sister.
Andy is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Annette Brown, and Darlene Logan and husband, Bill; son, Weldon Lowell Anderson; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Dollins and husband, Charles, and Mary Ann Christian Weatherby and husband, James; brothers, Danny Anderson and wife, Joanna, Billy Anderson and wife, Jackie, and Wendell Anderson; many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
