Sarah Ethel Anderson, 99, of Waco, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at a local nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday. Nov. 25 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sonny Buie officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery near Irene, Texas.
Mrs. Anderson was born Sept. 23, 1901 in Hill County, Texas. She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson married W.J. "Bill" Anderson on Sept. 23, 1917. She was preceded in death by her husband March 6, 1966; her parents; brother, sister; two sons; infant daughter; grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, W.L. "Andy" and wife, Jo of Waco, Dick and wife, Edna of Axtell, Danny and wife, Joanna of Hillsboro, Shorty and wife, Merle of Bosqueville, Billy and wife, Jackie of Lorena and Windell of Houston; daughters, Peggy Dollins and husband, Charles of Speegleville and Mary Ann Christian and husband, Billy of Hewitt; twenty-six grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; and forty-one great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lyndon, Harold, Jerry Wayne, Dan and Joe Anderson and Kevin Dollins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gaylon, Gary, Bruce, Jerry Paul and David Anderson; Craig and Curtis Dollins; and Dr. Richard Kleiman.
