Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi B. Turner were at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 in the Turner Church, Turner Community, Reverend Ron Butler officiated. Interment followed in Turner Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Turner, 83, of Turner Community entered eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2010 in Beauregard Memorial Hospital, DeRidder.
Naomi was a mother figure to all and never turned anyone away from her door hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Amie Bond; one brother, Ray Bond and two sisters, Dorothy Ardoin and Catherine Prestwood. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of fifty-six years, Ben Turner of Turner Community; two sons, Bruce Turner and his wife, Angela of Dayton, Texas and George Turner and his wife, Judy of Prairieville; two daughters, Elaine Hebert and her husband, Jeff of Arlington, Texas and Wanda Gilmore and her husband, Kevin of Sugartown; two brothers, Jack Bond and Robert Bond, both of Bond; one sister, Yvonne Reed of Bond; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
