Jacob F. Crossgrove, 66, died this morning at 6 o'clock at a hospital in Kirksville. He suffered a paralytic stroke on July 19th and never regained consciousness.

Mr. Crossgrove was the son of John and Fredrica Deets Crossgrove and was born in Holmes County, Ohio Oct. 15, 1868. He came to Missouri with his parents in the fall of 1869 and they settled on a farm near old Paultown where he has lived continuously on the old Crossgrove homestead. He was never married and for the last few years had spent most of his time with Mr. and Mrs. Downing of the Sabbath Home neighborhood. He was well known and well liked.

His parents and one sister prededed him in death. He is survived by one brother, William Crossgrove of Brashear and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Harms of Pullman, Wash.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the United Brethren Church in Brashear, conducted by Rev. J.L. Luthi. Burial wil be in the Paultown cemetery.
