Louise Lilly Allen
FOREST HILL — Louise Lilly Allen, 93, of Forest Hill died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, Va., following a long illness.
Born August 22, 1916, at Forest Hill, she was the daughter of the late Emert and Rose Cottle Lilly.
Louise was a homemaker and was a member of Forest Hill Methodist Church. She had lived most of her life in Summers County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Allen, Sr., in December 1994.
Also preceded by one son, Richard Allen, an infant daughter, Cynthia Allen, one sister, Avenell Lilly, and three brothers, Ralph, Edgar and John Lilly.
Survivors include one son, Myrl Allen, Jr., and wife Linda Sue of Lebanon, Va.; One daughter, Linda Allen Foster of Forest Hill; Two brothers, Buster Lilly and wife Phyllis of Shady Spring and Athoel Lilly and wife Gladys of Marie; Three sisters, Leota Solace of Beckley, Naomi Wood of Scarbro and Viola Buckland of Forest Hill; Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Sam Haught, Mike McCoy and Sam Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Forest Hill. Friends may call from 6 until 9 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
