Mary M. Vajgrt
Mary Margaret Cihlar Vajgrt, 91, Oshkosh, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 31, 1993, at Omro Care Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1902, in Cadott, the daughter of Joseph and Justina Kubale Cihlar. She married Frederick F. Vajgart June 17,1929, in Oshkosh.
Mary graduated from Cadott High School in 1920. She later moved to Oshkosh and worked for several years at the American Excelsior Co. In 1941, Mary gave birth to the first set of triplets at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of its Altar Society. She recently became a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her sons, Donald (Susanne), Ronald (Sandra) and Robert (Barbara), all of Oshkosh, and Richard (Bernice) of Port Washington. She was a foster grandparent to Loren Grahn and Randy Polfuss, both of Oshkosh. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Sharon (Randy) Meisel, Karen Ward and her special friend, Tim Trier, Christopher Vajgrt, Susan (James) Evans, Michael (Diana) Vajgrt, Sandie (Michael) Oravec, Timothy (Nicetas) Vajgrt, James (Leann) Vajgrt, Stephanie Vajgrt, Lynn (Matthew) Schettle, Robert (Dawn) Vajgrt, Cathy (Richard) Lippold, David Va-jgrt and Ju Lee Vajgrt; 22 great-grandchildren: Clarence, Barbie and Nicole Meisel, Shannon and Josh Ward, Katie Trier, Heather and Jonathan Vajgrt, Jennifer and Brenda Larson, Ronald and Daniel Evans, Michael, Matthew, Martin and Merrick Vajgrt, Briana and Cory Oravec, Zachary and Benjamin Vajgrt, Matthew Schettle and Bradley Vajgrt; two sisters-in-law, Ella and Carrie Vajgrt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 24, 1961; her infant son, Roger, on July 27, 1941; her parents; four brothers, Joseph, Emil, Frank and James; and a sister, Ann Griffey.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at St. Raphael Catholic Church, until the time of Mass at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Dan Felton officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Mary will always be remembered as our loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by us all. She will now be at peace with God and her husband and son for eternity.
