Frederick Vajgrt, 59, Of 812 W. Sixth Ave., died Friday at 12:10 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, following an illness of two weeks.
He was born in Marshaltown, Ia., and had resided most of his life in Oshkosh. He was married here to Miss Mary Cihlar on June 17, 1929.
Mr. Vajgrt had been employed as a maintenance machinist by American Excelsior Corp. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; four sons, Donald Vajgrt; Marian, Ind., Ronald and Richard Vajgrt, Oshkosh, and Robert Vajgrt, with the armed forces in Alaska; four brothers, Joseph Vajgrt, Chippewa Falls, Charles Vajgrt, Independence, Ia., Emil and James Vajgrt, Cadott, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Benda, La Port City, Ia.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. David S. Bunkleman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from Monday at 3 p.m. until the hour of services. The rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m.
