Donald J. Vajgrt passed away on May 3rd 2022, at the age of 91.

Don graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1949 and attended Oshkosh Teachers College, earning an associate degree in education. He went on to join the Army, serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict, earning an Honorable Discharge. He started working for Lake Central Airlines in Chicago, where he met his wife, Sue Pemberton. Don went on to work for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier for 40 years. He retired at the age of 70, on June 1, 2001. He enjoyed serving as an usher at St. Peter's and the Grand Theater. Don was an avid sports fan, watching all sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He also enjoyed dining out, mainly at the Roxy and Primo's. In his later years, he also enjoyed going to Friar Tuck's.

Don is survived by his loving children: Karen Keller of Oshkosh, and Chris (Kelley) Vajgrt of Lawton, OK. He has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two brothers also survive him: Robert (Barbara) and Richard (Bernice), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Don is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sue, and his eldest child, Shari Meisel. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald; his parents, Fred and Mary; his infant brother, Roger; and his in-laws, Richard and Mary Pemberton.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park. Service will follow at 1:00 pm, also at Lakeview. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to Park View Health Center for the wonderful care Don received. The family is asking that well-wishers refrain from sending flowers.
