Lucy Cole was born on May 8, 1909 in Logan County, West Virginia to Charles Cole and Parmela (Fletcher) Cole. She had lived in the Marshall area the majority of her life. In May of 1924, she married Dayton Cole in Tiffin, Ohio. He preceded her in 1972.
Mrs. Cole had been employed for many years as a housekeeper for Mrs. Dunlop in Marshall. She then worked as a Nurses Aide at Oaklawn Hospital.
Lucy was a member of the Marshall Church of Christ and sang in a trio at the church in Partillo, Michigan. .She was also a member of the church's Klatter Klub. Mrs. Cole enjoyed gardening in both her flowers and vegetable gardens. She was an wonderful homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing for her family. She will be remembered for her caring and giving nature.
She was survived by her children, Ruth (Homer) Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Thelma (Morton) Maulding of Battle Creek, Audrey (Elmer)Ketchum of Homer, Russell (Joan) Cole of Battle Creek and Sharon Adams of Jackson; 26 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; sister, Lyda Cornette of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by sons, Raymond Cole and Richard Cole; and daughter, Ruby Trine.
