In 1874, Elizabeth Vest Malone and Thomas C. Malone signed over the Marion Co., Kentucky plantation on which Philip Vest lived to Maurrel Evans, William A. Vandike, and Lindsey Weatherford for $1000 and the provision that they take care of Philip for the rest of his life. It is not certain when this Philip Vest died, though there are indications he may have lived as late as 1884.
