Pvt. Edgar V. Beauford was killed in action in France, August 28, 1944, will be buried Sunday, July 11, at 4 p.m. at the Antioch Church in Whorton Bend with Rev. Chester Stevens officiating the services. Beauford is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Beauford; sons, James and Gerald; parents Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Beauford; six brothers, Charles, Leon, Porter, Lewis, and Harry, all of Gadsden, and G. C. Beauford, of Cedartown, Ga.; and two sisters, Mrs. George Phillips, Felton, Ga., and Mrs. John Christian, Lindale, Ga.
Pallbearers will be furnished by the VFW, Whorton Bend, who will also be in charge of Military Honors. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Antioch Cemetery with Collier-Butler in charge of arrangements.
