Leona Elnora Wintermote was born April 12, 1911 in Chambers, Nebraska to Elsworth Vernon and Rachel Maud Ballantyne Wintermote. Her parents moved to Converse County, Wyoming in 1916 and homesteaded 15 miles east of Douglas.

She married Robert Roy Tiedt in Douglas, Wyoming on December 27, 1932. They settled on her homestead east of Casper, Wyoming until 1939 when they moved back to Converse County.

To this union were born two girls, Betty Lou and Vivian Joan; and one son, Donald Roy.

Leona passed away September 10, 1941 in Lusk, Wyoming. Surviving were her parents, her husband and 3 children; a sister, Zella Crane and a brother, Lester Wintermote.

Leona's information was taken from family members, obituary in the Douglas Enterprise, Douglas, Wyoming Sept. 16, 1941, funeral memory book and death certificate which is submitted by her daughter, Betty Alberts.

There is an error on this headstone. Middle initial should be E instead of L. Robert called her "Lu" and this is probably the reason for the L.
