Avoca - Services for Alta Wilson of Avoca were held Sunday afternoon (Jan. 19) at United Church of Avoca. Burial was in Walnut Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson, 91, died Thursday at Myrtue Memorial Hospital, Harlan, following a long illness. She was born in Walnut and married Noble Wilson in 1921. They made their home in Avoca. Mr. Wilson died in 1966.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia (Mrs. Carl) Roberts of Pine, Colo.; two sons, Leroy of Cody, Wyo., and Darrell of Azusa, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Patton of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Effie Olsen of Wheatland, Calif., and Mrs. Frieda Knott of Avoca; two brothers, Ralph Ast of Long Beach, Calif., and Fred Ast of Seattle, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Berthusen-Knutson Funeral Home handled the arrangements in Avoca.
