Vera Ast, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ast, was born September 16, 1900 and died Sunday, September 29, 1901. The little one had been ill for some time and death finally ended its suffering on Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. Aten and the remains were laid at rest Monday afternoon. In their sad hour of bereavement the family have the sympathy of all. (Walnut Bureau, Friday, October 4, 1901, p. 4)
