Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Ed Hull officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Patsy was born Thursday, July 27, 1933 in rural Marlow, to Thomas Jefferson Burris and Ima (Johnson) Burris. Patsy was a lifelong resident of the Marlow area. She graduated from Sterling High School, then attended Cameron University and OMBC in Marlow. Patsy married W.A. Hector on July 7, 1951 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1980. Patsy was secretary for the Federal Employees Retirement Group. She loved gardening, fishing and was an avid bird watcher. She loved to cook and enjoyed making pies. Patsy was deeply involved in supporting her grandchildren's activities. She loved attending church as much as she could. She was a member of the Marlow Church of Christ.
Survivors include, two daughters, Janice Kirksey and husband Alan of Duncan, Dorothy Ann Roberts of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Brian Ward, Shanna Ward, Ronnie Roberts, Lisa Roberts; six great grandchildren,Colton, Camyeron, Caleb, Andy, Raven, Ava; a brother, Tommy Burris of Marlow; a sister, Evelyn Brantley and husband Don of Sterling; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Ima Irene Burris.
