Niles, 82, Defiance, died at the Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was a son of Arthur L. and Elizabeth A. (Travis) Amey. On Aug 22, 1953, he married Betty Davis, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Michelle Lee Amey, San Antonio, TX; one half sister, Judy Mason, Harrod; one brother, Arthur (Gloria), San Marcos, TX; one half brother, Richard Amey, FL; and three grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, N. Travis; and a brother, Howard T.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason. He worked as a loan officer at the former Home Savings and Loan in Defiance and at the Henry County Bank in Napoleon until retiring in 1993. He graduated from Ada High School in 1946 and attended Ohio Northern University. He was a member of the Defiance High Athletic Boosters.

Funeral Services are at the church, the Rev. Tim Reynolds officiating.
