Arthur Lathrop Amey was the son of Israel Birchard Amey and his wife Frances Isabelle Miner Amey both of whom are also interred in Sunnyside Cemetery. Arthur was married twice, with his first wife, Elizabeth Awilda Travis Amey died in Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston on 16 May 1939. It appears Arthur and Elizabeth were the parents of 3 sons Howard Travis Amey (1926-2002); Niles Brink Amey (1928-2010); and Arthur Lathrop Amey, Jr. born 1930 living in San Marcus, TX at the time of his father's death. Then following Elizabeth's death Arthur Amey remarried Carrie Harmon Amey. This is where it becomes unclear if the last two named children were born to the first or second wife. The children were Richard Amey, who lived in Tavares, Lake, FL when his father died. And Judith Amey Mason, living in West Newton, Ohio. I Think the last two children were the result of his second marriage to Carrie Harmon Amey. As it turns out, Adwilda Amey's obituary spelled out that the sons, Howard, Niles and Arthur, Jr. were her boys. So that must mean that Judith and Richard are products of the second marriage.
