THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 28 Sep 1989: "William Rufus 'Mr. Mack' McFadden, 16345 Fairfax, died Tuesday, 19 Sep 1989, in the veteran's hospital in Bonham. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, 21 Sep, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. McFadden was born 31 Jan 1913, in Glory a son of James Wesley and Laura Edna Brooks McFadden. He married Margie Lorene Boss on 18 Nov 1946. He was a roofing contractor and a member of the Bonham Street Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Rita Ausmus of Paris; two sons, Jerry McFadden of Paris and Dale McFadden of Mount Pleasant; and six grandchildren."
