JONESBORO – William Douglas Epps, 61, died Thursday, Aug. 2.
Mr. Epps was a native of Athens. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Jonesboro, and the Dixie Wing of the Confederate Air Force. He was a retired pilot with Delta Airlines.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug.4, at 11 a.m. at Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro. The Rev. Wesley Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in Oconee Hills Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
Survivors include his wife Bee* Wingfield Epps; two daughters, Carolyn Epps Kent, Charlotte, NC., and Susan Epps Ward, Stockbridge; one son, Larry Epps, Riverdale; two sisters, Evelyn Epps Galt, Athens, Virginia Epps Whitaker, Yakima, Wash.; four brothers, Ben Epps Jr, and Pat Epps, both of Atlanta, Charles Epps Topsham, Maine, and George Epps, Huntsville, Ala.; and three granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Samaritans Together, 667 South Ave., Forest Park, 3050, in memory of Mr. William Douglas Epps.
