Leonard G. Yeoman, 83, 506 Finley, died Saturday at 9:10 a.m. at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was a retired John Morrell and Co. employee.
He was born September 16, 1889 in Mahaska County, to O. N. and Mary King Yeoman. He was a long-time resident of Mahaska County prior to moving to Ottumwa in 1951. He attended the First Pentecostal Assembly of God and was a member of the Morrell Retired Employes Club.
He married Adah Whitmer July 12, 1916 in Fremont. She died in 1971. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Viola Rosenbloom, Mrs. Virginia Smith, and Mrs. Rosemary Riley of Ottumwa and Mrs. Betty Hubbell of Beacon; six grandchildren of one great grandson; one brother, Harry Yeoman of Ottumwa; and one sister, Mrs. Margie Ash of Oskaloosa. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth, four brothers, and four sisters.
The service will Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Palmer of the First Pentecostal Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Cemetery near Fremont.
Pallbearers will be Virgil and Glen Roquet, Louie Ademeite, Will Dillener, Joe Lehman, and Earl Beall.
