They were the parents of Sallie, Mayme and Olive Harris. Their family moved from Wilmore to Louisville, and the couple raised their daughters to adulthood, in that city. Mrs. Harris passed away from the effects of myocarditis.
•Deaths.-Eddie G. Harris, Thursday morning April 20, 1944, at 9:25 o'clock in her 65th year; residence 403 E. Ormsby Ave. Beloved mother of Mrs. Merle C. Blake, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Frank Brown, El Centro, Calif.; and Mrs. William L. Scott; also survived by sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Osborne, Garrard County, Kentucky; and Mrs. D.Y. Cochran; brother, William Grimes, Brooklyn, Ky.; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Remains at the Mortuary Chapel of John Maas and Bro., corner Floyd and Broadway. Funeral from the Chapel Monday morning of [sic at] 10:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
