Mildred "Millie" Grimes was the daughter of Pleasant & Mary Ann Hicks Grimes and was named for her paternal grandmother, Mildred "Millie" Dennis Grimes.
She married David John Cochran on December 23, 1903 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. The couple moved to Hamilton County, Ohio and, then, settled in Louisville, Kentucky. They were the parents of Charles Louis, Mary M., Clayton Newall, John David and Betty Jean Cochran. Throughout the years, Mr. Cochran earned his living by working as a carpenter and as a contractor.
