Sarah Janette Garrett, is the daughter of Dr. Wyatt McMillan Garrett (1818-1892) and Caroline Janette "Jennie" Chandler-Garrett (1829-1906) both of Alpharetta, Georgia in Fulton County. Her grandparents are; Thomas Housley Garrett (1792-1858) and Keziah Thomas-Garrett (1992-1845) both of South Carolina. Her great grandparents are; Jesse Garrett,Jr. (1766-1853) and Elizabeth Henderson-Garrett (1769-1851) also of South Carolina. Sarah has lived all her life in Little River, Georgia in Cherokee County and Alpharetta, Georgia. She married Mr. John Rollins Johnston (1835-1916) in 1854 Fulton County, Georgia. They had ten children together, that I know of. Elizabeth Jane Johnston (1856-1916), Martha Laura Johnston (1858-1938), Joseph Richard Johnston (1860-1865), William Jasper Johnston (1864-1948), John Clark Johnston (1867-1948), Smith Johnston (1869-1904), Laura Ann Johnston (1872-1962), Mary Johnston (1874-), Nevada Vada Johnston (1878-1967), and Dozier Thornton Johnston, born in 1882 and did in 1960.... Sarah Janette Garrett's siblings are; Elizabeth K. Garrett-Thomas, Irene Garrett-Roberts, William F. Garrett, Thomas Garrett, Mary M. Garrett, Henry M. Garrett, Lucinda Jane Garrett-Moore (1856-1888), H.J. Garrett (1870-1894), Darcus Alpha Garrett-Moore (1859-1894), and William Thomas Garrett. Sarah Janette Garrett-Johnston, is loved and missed by her family and her friends......she will be remembered.
