Edward Broeker, 60, 2038 Gnahn, died at his home Thursday (August 9, 1984) morning.
He was born June 26, 1924, at Yarmouth the son of Edward W. and Amy Michaels Broeker.
He married Dorothy Ann Blake December 5, 1946, in Oswego, Kansas.
He graduated from Yarmouth High School, was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Malta Lodge 318, Kaaba Shrine, the Elks Lodge, VFW. Grace Methodist Church, and a former member of Iron Workers Local 577. He was the founder and president of Broeker Erection Company.
Surviving: His wife; one son, Thomas; one daughter, Tonja Binder, all of Burlington; four grandchildren, and one brother, Fred, Bolivar, Missouri.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at Fry Chapel, Mediapolis, Dr. Glenn R. Parrott; Kossuth Cemetery. A memorial to the Shriners Hospital has been established.
