OSAGE — Margaret L. Bird, 86, of Osage, died Monday (Feb. 2, 1998) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Christian Missionary Alliance Church, with the Rev. Rick Magstadt officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
Visitation will begin after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Margaret L. Bird was born Jan. 14, 1912, on the family farm near Riceville in Mitchell County.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Wieland, of Greencastle, Ind., and Lois Rider, of Waterloo; two sons, Larry Bird, of Osage, and Doug Bird, of Waverly; two brothers, Donald Asfahl, of Louisville, Ky., and Ralph Asfahl, of Riceville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.
