Enid, March 11--Services will be at 4:30 pm Saturday in the Henninger-Allen chapel for J.D. Barnett, 96, who died in an Enid hospital late Thursday after a lingering illness.
A native of Galesburg, Illinois, he resided in Kansas a number of years before coming to Oklahoma in 1901, and settling near Carrier. He had resided in Enid 30 years. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include five daughters, Miss Mabel Barnett of the home; Mrs. William Obuch, Antlers; Mrs. L.K. Hines, Enid; Mrs. Charles Walterscheid, Enid; Mrs. E.W. [W]arner, Pomona, California; one brother, C.G. Barnett, Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. George Killoren, Powhattan, Kansas.
