Faye Stevens Snelson Ward, 88, passed away Friday, August 13, 1999, in Provo, Utah. She was born April 25, 1911, in Ephraim, Utah, to Charles Henry Stevens and Elvira Kelson. When she was about 16, she came to Springville to work. she was employed by Ralph Snelson Sr. at his drug store. He asked her to take care of his bedridden wife, Bella. Faye was the only one Bella would permit to touch her. After Bella died, Ralph and Faye were married August 28, 1929, in the Salt Lake Temple. Ralph died in 1958. Faye married Vincent Ward, who died in 1968. Hugh J. Dougall was a special friend. He died in 1986. She is survived by two sons: Ralph J. (Janet) and Keith P. (Celia) of Springville; three sisters: Juli Aiken; Zalia Mallinson; and Adella Johnson, of Salt Lake City; eight grandsons and 25 great-grandchildren. Infant twin daughters, Darlene and Shirlene Snelson preceded her in death. Burial was August 17, 1999.
