GRAYBILL, Leonard Price, 81, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2003. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after thirty-six years of service. During his early years with the post office, Leonard was a postal clerk on the Norfolk & Western Railway trains. He was later a supervisor at Roanoke's main postal station. Mr. Graybill was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many trips to North Carolina's Outer Banks. He was a Little League baseball and sandlot basketball coach for several years in Vinton. Leonard was a caring and devoted husband, father and grandfather who was loved by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Price and Kate Graybill; three sisters, Grace Harris, Ruby DuPree, GayNelle Crowder; a brother, Norwood Graybill, all of Troutville; and his loving family pet, Pip. Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Geneva Finch Graybill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy Poff and Ballard of Vinton, Neena Feazell and David of Moneta; a son, Kevin Graybill of Vinton; four grandchildren, Marcie Poff, Khristopher, Travis, and Nikita Dawn Feazell; two brothers, Jonas Graybill and Betty of Troutville, Aubrey Graybill and Ollie of Troutville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Dr. Robert L. Wayne officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel (982-2221).
