His naval career extended from 15 May 1934 - 30 April 1964. After the death of his wife, Helen (unknown) he married Wanda Maxine (McKenzie) Rose in Columbia County, Florida 4 September 1982. He died 29 May 1990 in Alachua County, Florida.
