Frances Mabel Becker was born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois on 31 December 1890 to Jacob Howard and Catherine Agnes (Burke) Becker. She was the 5th child (out of 6) born of this union. Frances was raised in Chicago, and was married there 31 Mar 1909 to Wense Lorey Cornelius. The couple had 11 children - 10 of whom lived into adulthood. Wense worked many years for the railroad and the family finally settled in King County, Washington in 1922. In the early 1930's they decided to move the family to the Los Angeles area, which took a couple of months as they picked crops along the way. Four (4) of her sons served in the military in World War II. Her husband preceded her in death in 1956 and Frances died 28 Sep 1958.
