William Alvis, 95, of Marion, died Sept. 7, 2003, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. He was retired for the Corps of Engineers and a Member of Marion Masonic Lodge No. 256.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Alvis of Marion, four sons, James Alvis of Calvert City, Donald Alvis and Gene Alvis, both of Marion and George Alvis of Uniontown: a sister, Georgie Alice Duvall of Marion.
