Donald Rae Alvis, 74, of Marion died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a farm laborer and member of Sturgis Missionary Baptist Church.
Alvis is survived by his mother, Mary J. Alvis of Marion; two brothers, James Alvis of Calvert City and George Alvis of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Alvis, and a brother, Gene Alvis.
Funeral services were Saturday at Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Durham officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
